Throughout the world, widows are subjected to physical and psychological harm from their families and communities following the death of their husbands. After the death of their husbands, women are largely marginalized, they often experienced seclusion and oppression, and sometimes persecution that leads to irrelevancy in the society. Most of these widows’ usually rely on informal businesses and petty trading to survive with their children, but these ventures may only bring in less than $5 per week.
The challenges widows and their children face includes:
And this I do for the gospel's sake, that I might be partaker thereof with you.
1 Corinthians 9:23For I was an hungered, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: 36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
